INTRO: The turbulent days and storm-tossed nights of November
have their own special energy. All too often, it's an extended
tribulation on the long transition to the heart of winter, and
the redemptive light of the holiday season.

It's a time of recognition of things lost, and potentials to come;
melancholy...often painful...but infused with hope. This year the
transition takes on a special meaning, as we confront difficult
times and extraordinary changes.

On this transmission of Hearts of Space, a somber-but-hopeful
