INTRO: Of all the year's transformations, the autumn transit of
the astrological house of SCORPIO is perhaps the most challenging,
for it is during this period that humans must confront the reality
of death and decay.

As the sun withdraws, the natural world withers and dies, and we
enter a gloomy realm attended by superstition, fear and doleful
emotions. These are the dark times...that try our souls.
Yet in these ultimate tribulations, lie the seeds of future growth.
