INTRO : Ah, yes, ladies and gentlemen, the distinctively twangy,
floating sound of the pedal steel guitar — it's as American as
Elvis and cherry pie. This mutant offspring of the Portuguese
acoustic slide guitar, the electric guitar, and the pedal harp
is most famous for its role in Country and Western music. But
as you'll hear, that's just the beginning of what's possible.
