INTRO: Well, we didn't plan it that way, but this show wound
up almost all English music. And why not? England remains a
breeding ground and innovator for all kinds of new genres.
This time, a report from the intersection of downtempo, chill,
and deep ambient — a place where digital beats and lyrical
melodies float over ambient soundscapes.

English musician and producer BRIAN ENO, who more or less
invented the term "ambient," once observed that certain kinds
of electronic music could be heard as "fast music with slow
underpinnings...or slow music with fast ornamentation."

However YOU hear it, on this transmission of HEARTS of
SPACE, it's a downtempo journey called DEEP GROOVE.
'Groove' because it moves with a hypnotic rhythm;
'Deep' because it takes you somewhere worth going.
