   INTRO: As the expansive energies of the globally warmed months
   recede (save for a parting hurricane or two...or three), we pass
   through a transition marked by tertiary colors: umber, sienna,
   ochre, purple, and deep green. The days grow short, the sun sinks
   lower in the sky, and the sound of the season cools, slows, and
   turns inward, embracing the dark ambient realm of mystery
   and melancholy.
